Abstract:
To provide an image display method and an image display device with which it is possible to improve the quality of the image to be displayed.SOLUTION: In the image display method, the voltage applied to each pixel of a liquid crystal panel is sequentially switched, for each second area, in a first direction to a value that corresponds to a k-th input image. The process of sequentially controlling, for each first area, the output of a light source in each light emission region of a backlight in the first direction is repeatedly carried out while the voltage applied to each of the pixels is switched to the value that corresponds to the k-th input image. The output of the light source in each of the light emission regions that are included in each of the first areas is switched to the output that corresponds to the k-th input image on and after the initiation of the process of switching the voltage applied to each pixel located immediately above is switched to the value that corresponds to the k-th input image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9F
