Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display in which a decision is made whether a displayed image is a dynamic image or a static image, and optimal image processing is performed for a dynamic image or a static image, especially image processing for obtaining a static image having high image quality is performed by enhancing contrast of the static image, and to provide a projector, a program and a storage medium.
SOLUTION: The image display comprises a section 101 for calculating a variation in the luminance distribution of an image between frames being compared, a section 102 for making a decision whether that image is a dynamic image or a static image based on the variation in the luminance distribution, a section 103 performing specified correction of gradation based on the decision results from the deciding section 102, and a section 104 for displaying the image subjected to correction of gradation.
