The image display device, into which data where non-compressed image data and compressed image data before rasterizing processing are multiplexed are input through a transmission line, includes a data demultiplexing means 661 separating the multiplexed data to individual data; a compressed image rasterizing processing means 652 performing rasterizing processing of the compressed image data; and a non-compressed image rasterizing means 662 performing rasterizing processing of the non-compressed image data. Rasterizing of the compressed image data and non-compressed image data are each executed independently, and after they are combined as a display image by a raster data combining means 63, they are formed on an image forming means 53.
