In the image display system 200, a setting terminal 13 can fetch setting information concerned with communication of the projector 11 and the computer 12 acquires the setting information from the setting terminal 13 through a data communication interface or the like. Thereby the system can simply establish connection between various computers 12 and the projector 11 based on the setting information acquired through the setting terminal 13, and in its turn, can simply establish communication between the various computers 12 and the projector 11.
