Abstract:
To display an outer world image with good visibility.SOLUTION: An image display device for a moving body according to one embodiment of the present invention, which displays an image of an outer world that can be observed through the moving body, comprises: image generating parts (1 and 4) which collect image information on an outer world through the moving body and generate images of the outer world on the basis of the information; distance calculating parts (2, 3, 7 and 8) which calculate, for each small region on the image of the outer world, a distance between a point on a map corresponding to the small region and an observation point at which the image information is obtained in the moving body, using map data built-in or obtained from the outside; an image quality adjusting part (5) that adjusts brightness or contrast of partial images corresponding to the small regions on the outer world image, in accordance with the distance calculated for each small region on the outer world image; and a display part (6) that displays the outer world image having brightness or contrast of the partial images adjusted for each small region by the image quality adjusting part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
