Abstract:
To provide a technique of achieving appropriate image evaluation based on frequency characteristics of an image formed by an image forming apparatus.
Test pattern data with a single gray pixel value is formed in an image recording medium as a test pattern image, and the test pattern image is obtained as image data to be evaluated. The image data to be evaluated is subjected to two-dimensional frequency analysis to calculate a frequency strength, and then evaluation databased on the frequency strength in a predetermined angle direction, which is selected from the calculated frequency strength, is displayed.
