Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely reproduce white or black color and to improve the quality of a finished image by selecting negative photosensitive material or positive photosensitive material in accordance with average density operated based on the image data of an original.
SOLUTION: An image signal is inputted in a signal conversion part 10 and stored in a 1st frame memory 12 as density data, and the average density is operated in an average density arithmetic part 14. The operated average density is compared with a threshold outputted from a threshold setting part 18 in a comparison part 16. The compared result by the comparison part 16 is received by a propriety discrimination part 20 so as to decide whether the propriety is right or not in accordance with the kind of photosensitive material loaded at present. In the case of deciding that it is a white emphasized image as the result of the comparison, a selection means selects the negative photosensitive material. Meanwhile, in the case of deciding that it is a black emphasized image, the means selects the positive photosensitive material. Thus, the proper photosensitive material is selected based on the average density of the image data signal of the original.
