Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate a power computing element and a multiplier, to contrive to make a device compact and to accelerate operation by inputting a value outputted from a register, executing cumulative operations in the effective picture element area of an image read out through a raster scan. CONSTITUTION:According to data on coordinates (x) and (y) of the image read out through the raster scan, the input of the coordinates (x) and (y), etc., are selected. With the aid of an adder 40, x<2>, y<2>, xy and so on are obtained according to specific expressions. By the use of a cumulative device, SIGMAx<2>, SIGMAy<2> and SIGMAxy with respect to an object image f(x, y)=1 are obtained according to specific expressions, thereby extracting secondary moments M20, M02 and M11. Thus no power computing element and multiplier are needed, and compact hardware can be realized with a simple adder and so on.
