Abstract:

To easily identify an image file that has been transferred from an image input device to an image file management device and stored.

An image file management method for causing the image file transferred from the image input device to be stored in a folder created according to information about the date of photography of the image file is disclosed. When there is only one kind of date of photography of the image file transferred, one kind of folder storing the image file is displayed on a screen as the current folder. When there are a plurality of kinds of dates of photography, a hierarchically higher folder including a plurality of folders created to match the plurality of kinds of dates of photography is displayed on the screen as the current folder.
