PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow printing to be resumed without losing the sight of the positions of a mobile printer and a recording medium even when printing is resumed after the mobile printer brought into contact with the recording medium is separated from a paper surface.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: optical sensors 3a, 3b which acquire surface image data on a partial region of a recording medium when one sides of the bodies are brought into contact with the recording medium; a position calculation part 16 which calculates the positions of the optical sensors on the recording medium on the basis of the surface image data; RAM 13; and a CPU 11 which makes the RAM 13 store as reference image data the surface image data of a specific portion of the recording medium facing the optical sensors at the time when the a recording head is at the printing start position on the recording medium. The CPU 11, when the surface image data acquired by the optical sensors and the reference image data acquired from the RAM 13 match each other in a case where an instruction for deciding the reference image data again is input, decides the position calculated by the position calculation part 16 as new reference image data again.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
