Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus that suppresses the amount of a label adhesive surface exposed without being protected from increasing between a roll label and a transport belt by keeping the distance between the roll label and transport belt constant even when the roll label decreases in diameter as labels are consumed.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes: detection means capable of detecting the amount of rotation of a paper feed shaft 10 of a roll label 8; detection means capable of detecting the amount of rotation of a transport roller 9; movement means of moving the roll label 8 in a transport belt direction; and control means of calculating a roll label diameter from the amount of rotation of the paper feed shaft 10 and the amount of roller rotation, and moving the roll label 8 in the transport belt direction through the movement means by as much as a decrease in roll label diameter when the roll label diameter decreases by a threshold or larger.
