PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus capable of properly recovering a carrier moved from a development device onto an image carrier to the development device.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises an image formation part for each color which forms a toner image by applying toner to an image carrier with a development part storing a two-component developer including the toner and carrier. A development bias power source includes a DC power source circuit which is provided for each color, an AC power source circuit which is provided commonly for each color, and an element which maintains a constant voltage on the reverse polarity side of the toner. The first image formation part of the image formation parts applies a development bias by overlapping the constant voltage by the element on the voltage obtained by overlapping the DC voltage on the AC voltage. A restoration operation execution part executes restoration bias application control for applying a restoration bias on the reverse polarity side of the carrier by a restoration bias power source for the first image formation part in the restoration operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
