Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a booklet interval of a sheet bundle loaded on a sheet feeding part with an inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes: a sheet feeding roller 103a which feeds sheets P loaded on a sheet feeding cassette 102a; a sheet separation mechanism 120a which conveys one sheet P to a conveyance path when the plural sheets P are fed together with one sheet P from the sheet feeding roller 103a; a top sensor 104 which is arranged on the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the sheet P with respect to the sheet separation mechanism 120a and detects the presence/absence of the sheet P; and an engine control unit 201 which determines a booklet interval being the boundary between the lower sheet bundle and the upper sheet bundle placed on the sheet feeding cassette 102a on the basis of the sheet feeding time from the start of feeding of the sheet P by the sheet feeding roller 103a to the detection of the sheet P by the top sensor 104.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
