Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can avoid wasteful discarding of a printed sheet following a defective sheet.SOLUTION: When a defective sheet is detected, a job is suspended, the defective sheet and a succeeding sheet that has been printed following the defective sheet are carried out to an escape tray 246. When an operator properly places the succeeding sheet that has been printed to an inserter tray 221 and instructs resumption, the job is resumed, an image to be printed on the defective sheet is printed on the sheet newly fed from a sheet feeding part of an image formation unit 200. Then, the sheet is discharged to a normal sheet discharge destination (stacker 240). The succeeding sheet placed on the inserter tray 221 is discharged to the stacker 240 without printing. Consequently, the succeeding sheet that has been printed is discharged to the stacker 240 subsequently to the sheet that is re-printed in correspondence with the defective sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
