Abstract:
To provide means which facilitates control in a case where a twist occurs in a medium.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus conveying a medium in a prescribed conveyance direction includes: a first conveyance unit which conveys the medium at a prescribed conveyance speed; a second conveyance unit which conveys the medium at a conveyance speed that can be changed; an excess length control unit which calculates a difference between a medium feeding length of the first conveyance unit and a medium feeding length of the second conveyance unit as an excess length of the medium that slackens between the first conveyance unit and the second conveyance unit; and a speed control unit which changes the conveyance speed of the second conveyance unit with an instruction from the excess length control unit. The excess length control unit calculates the excess length on the basis of the difference between the conveyance speed of the first conveyance unit and the conveyance speed of the second conveyance unit, and changes the conveyance speed of the second conveyance unit when the excess length is larger than a threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
