Abstract:
To improve the followability of the rotational speed of a rotor with respect to the conveyance speed of a recording material in comparison to a case where the rotor rotates following the recording material.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes: a conveyance path in which a band-like continuous recording material is conveyed; an image formation unit which forms an image on the recording material in the middle of the conveyance path; a rotor which has the peripheral surface brought into contact with the recording material in the middle of the conveyance path, and suppresses the movement in the width direction crossing the conveyance direction of the recording material by rotating following the conveyance of the recording material; a drive source which drives the rotor by rotating at the rotational speed matching the conveyance speed of the recording material; and a transmission unit which transmits the driving force from the drive source to the rotor and cuts the transmission of the driving force when the rotor rotates at the faster speed than the drive source side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
