Abstract:
To smoothly execute switchback with respect to a long sheet.SOLUTION: This device comprises: an image formation part 120 for forming an image on a long sheet LS; a conveyance path 53 for conveying the long sheet to the image formation part 120; and a control part for controlling conveyance of the long sheet. The control part, when a rear end LS2 in a conveyance direction of the long sheet LS is positioned at a switchback point SBP, can execute switchback with respect to the long sheet, and controls conveyance of the long sheet so that a loop LSR is formed in the long sheet so that the rear end of the long sheet LS before executing switchback is positioned at the switchback point SBP and further a front end LS1 of the long sheet is positioned in a region not affecting formation of the image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
