To provide an image formation device capable of preventing go-through of a transfer sheet without increase of costs and complexity of mechanism/control.
This device has an image carrying element 4a carrying toner images, an image writing part 3 forming electrostatic latent images on the image carrying element 4a, a developing device 4b developing the electrostatic latent images and forming the toner images, a transfer device 4c transferring the toner images on a transfer sheet S, a register roller 13 correcting curve of the transfer sheet S and delivering the sheet to the transfer device 4c, a drive source 31 driving only the register roller 13, a clutch 33 transmitting a power from the drive source 31 to the register roller 13, a drive source control means 36 controlling drive/stop of the drive source 31, and a clutch control means 35 controlling on/off of the clutch 33. When the transfer sheet S is brought into contact with the register roller 12, the drive source 31 is stopped by the drive source control means 36, and the clutch 33 is turned on by the clutch control means 35.
