The image formation device includes an ink residual amount detection means for detecting the residual quantity of ink, a count means for counting the droplet quantity of the ink discharged from a nozzle of a recording head on a real time when performing the head cleaning, a notice means for notifying a user of a warning when the ink residual amount is detected to be nil, a registering means for conserving the minimum quantum threshold value of the droplet required for the head cleaning, a comparison means for comparing the quantity of discharged ink droplet with the minimum quantum threshold value, and a setting input reception means for receiving the setting input whether the notice means should notify the user of the warning or not based on the result compared by the comparison means.
