Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device capable of preventing the lifetime of the device from shortening as printing by a color printing mechanism is continued while suppressing the need for a time of frequent switching between the color printing mechanism and a black-and-white printing mechanism.SOLUTION: In an image formation device 1 which performs a color formation process of color image formation or a black-and-white formation process of black-and-white image formation on one surface or both surfaces of an output form according to unit image data in page units, forcible formation means 16 allows image formation of unit image data for a specified number of sheets to be performed continuously in the color formation process based upon determination results of one-side determination means 14 of determining one-surface image formation or both-surface image formation for output data of a plurality of sheets and color determination means 15 of determining which of color image data and black-and-white image data unit image data to be subjected to image formation is based upon the determination result of the one-surface determination means 14.
