Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge a following sheet to a stocker in a case where, after a state occurs in which a sheet cannot be housed in a stocker, a state occurs in which te sheet can be discharged to the stocker.SOLUTION: If it is determined that a following sheet cannot be housed in a stocker 45 by the sheet that is held in the stocker 45, any one of following controls is selected and executed based on the size of the following sheet; a first control in which image formation is made with the following sheet, and the sheet is transported, for stopping, as far as a paper discharge route 41 which is on a lower stream side in sheet transportation direction than an image formation part 20, without discharging the sheet to a stocker 45; and a second control in which the following sheet is transported to the middle of the image formation part 20 and transported, for stopping, as far as a timing roller pair 36 on an upper stream side in the transportation direction than the image formation part 20.
