Abstract:
To precisely detect the position of a side restriction member of a paper feed cassette.SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises: a paper feed cassette 5 where sheets P are stacked; side restriction members 50, 51 which abut on end parts of the sheets P stacked in the paper feed cassette 5, and restrict the sheets P so that the end parts are aligned; a cassette cam 53 which has a rib part 53r, and moves in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the side restriction member 50 moves according to a movement quantity of the side restriction member 50; a cassette rail 85 which guides the paper feed cassette 5; and a size detection part 66 which is provided at the cassette rail 85, has a main body cam 65, and detects the size of the sheets P stacked in the paper feed cassette 5 based upon the movement quantity of the main body cam 65. When the paper feed cassette 5 is inserted into the image formation device 100, the rib part 53r abuts on the main body cam 65, and the main body cam 65 energizes the rib part 53r in the opposite direction from the direction in which the paper feed cassette 5 is inserted into the image formation device 100 once the paper feed cassette 5 is loaded in the image formation device 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
