Abstract:

To clean an exposure head by using a cleaning member without incurring the getting caught of the cleaning member.

The cleaning member 50 cleans a light emitting surface of an LPH (LED Print Head). In addition, the cleaning member 50 includes a base section 51, a blade 52 for cleaning the light emitting surface of the LPH provided on the base section 51 and a guide section 54 formed on the base section 51. Furthermore, the cleaning member 50 is caused to pass through an opening formed in a housing toward a region where the photoreceptor drum and the LPH are opposite to each other and is inserted toward a space between the photoreceptor drum and the LPH. At this time, the guiding section 54 of the cleaning member 50 come in contact with an insertion opening, thereby the inserting direction of the cleaning member 50 is directed.
