To provide a mechanism through which both a serviceman and a user of an image forming apparatus can appropriately confirm an operation content.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an acquisition means configured to acquire language information indicating a language usable by a user of an external device from the external device; and transmission means for, when a language indicated in the language information which the acquisition means acquires is different from a language used for displaying in the image forming apparatus, transmitting to the external device screen information indicating a second display screen that is a display screen in which the language of the language information is used through a display screen corresponding to a first display screen displayed in display means of the image forming apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
