Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus capable of appropriately controlling the transportation of cloth in formation of an image on a cloth.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises a transportation unit 4 for transporting a cloth, an ink jet head 62 for forming an image on the cloth as recording medium, a texture detection sensor 61 for detecting the state of cloth at a plurality of sites in the cloth width direction, disposed upstream of the ink jet head 62, and a correction controller 2 for determining the amount of cloth transported from data at the sites detected by the texture detection sensor 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
