Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of solving a cleaning trouble and a generation of an abnormal noise at the same time.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier; and cleaning means having a cleaning blade 62 for cleaning a transfer residual toner. The cleaning blade 62 is formed of a strip-shaped elastic body blade 622. A portion including a front end ridge part 62c of the elastic body blade 622 is impregnated with a (meth) acrylate compound, and the surface of the elastic body blade 622 including the front end ridge part 62c is provided with a surface layer 623 harder than the elastic body blade 622. The film thickness of the surface layer 623 is from 0.1 to 0.5 μm, and the toner is 0.981 to 0.990 in average circularity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
