Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus which suppresses degradation of an image quality, and to provide an image forming method.
The number of lenses (ML) 4 of a negative optical magnification is set to be N (ML1-MLN) in a direction X. 9 indicates a position of screened data each ML outputs on a photoreceptor. A broken-line part is an application position of an error diffusion or a stochastic dither table of a screen 11. A size (number of elements of the screen) in a main scan direction (direction X and a first direction) of the screen is made larger than the number N of the light emitting elements in the ML.
