Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of scumming and carrier adhesion due to the inability to accurately specify an entry timing to detection positions in sections of a scumming pattern.SOLUTION: A control unit is configured to perform processing to form a Y toner image YST for position specification on the surface of a photoreceptor by developing an electrostatic latent image separately from a Y scumming pattern YJP, specify the timing at which the Y toner image YST has entered detection positions with a first reflection type photosensor 20a on the basis of a change in the output of the sensor, and specify the respective entry timings to the detection positions in sections of the Y scumming pattern YJP on the basis of results of the specification.
