Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for improving adhesive force between a toner image and a recording medium.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: an image holder 10; charging means 20 for charging a surface of the image holder; latent image forming means 12 for forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the image holder; developing means 14 for accommodating a liquid developer 24 comprising a carrier liquid and toner particles dispersed in the carrier liquid and for developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the image holder with the liquid developer to form a toner image; applying means 27 for applying an adhesive that is cured by stimulation on a surface of a recording medium 30 where the toner image is to be transferred; transfer means 16, 28 for transferring the toner image formed on the surface of the image holder onto the surface of the recording medium where the adhesive is applied; stimulation imparting means 32 for imparting stimulation to the recording medium with the toner image transferred so as to cure the adhesive; and fixing means 34A, 34B for fixing the toner image transferred onto the recording medium to the recording medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
