Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus and a program that can appropriately determine the timing to replace a belt.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a belt that is formed in an endless shape and driven to rotate; a drive roller 242 around which the belt is wound and drives to rotate the belt; position detection units 701, 702 that are arranged along the axial direction of the drive roller 242 and detect deviation of the belt; a steering roller 243 around which the belt is wound and corrects the deviation of the belt detected by the position detection units 701, 702; and a control unit that controls the steering roller 243. The control unit determines a deterioration state of the belt on the basis of the amount of change linked with a change in coefficient of friction of the belt from the start of use of the belt until the lapse of a certain time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
