PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can eject residual sheets remaining inside the apparatus while suppressing a peak consumption power when power is turned on, a residual sheet ejection method, and a program.SOLUTION: When power is turned on, a control part executes first driving processing of starting driving a main body motor to start driving a main body conveyance mechanism, and second driving processing of starting driving an optional motor at a timing different from the timing of starting driving the main body motor and switching a flapper to any one position of a main body induction position to induce sheets to a main body conveyance path and an optional induction position to induce sheets to an optional conveyance path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
