Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for performing staple processing in a manual staple mode and a sheet processing device in which user's convenience can be improved.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 can operate a staple unit 35 of a sheet processing device 30 with any one of an auto-staple mode or the manual staple mode. When the manual staple mode is set, image forming operation is stopped in the image forming apparatus 10. The interruption time at this time is different according to an operational state in the manual staple mode, and the residual time is displayed and output on an operation displaying panel 12.
