Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge a post-jam sheet.SOLUTION: In a first abnormal condition, a sheet cannot be conveyed continuously in a conveyance section. In a second abnormal condition, the sheet can be conveyed in the conveyance section, but an image on the sheet may be affected. When the first or second abnormal condition is detected, and the conveyed sheet is subjected to pre-purge processing which conveys a post-jam sheet to be discharged to a paper discharge tray, the post-jam sheet in process of pre-purge processing is controlled to be continuously conveyed without suspension, even if the second abnormal condition is detected.
