An image forming apparatus according to the present invention includes a toner container 18 that has a shutter 32 for closing an exhaust port 31 in an openable and closable manner, and a storage part 25 that stores the toner container 18. The toner container 18 is provided with a guide part 35 for rotation. The storage part 25 is provided with a rotation member 54 including: a guided part 58 provided at a position corresponding to the guide part 35 for rotation; a fulcrum part 60 provided on the front side of the guided part; and a cleaning part 62 provided on the back side of the guided part 58. When the toner container 18 is slid, the shutter 32 closes the exhaust port 31, and then the guided part 58 is guided along the guide part 35 for rotation to cause the rotation member 54 to rotate around the fulcrum part 60. Accordingly, the cleaning part 62 is brought into slide-contact with the shutter 32 to clean the shutter 32.
