To improve safety and power loss in the image forming apparatus of an inductive heating fixing system.

The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming means for forming an image with a developer on a recording medium; a carrier means for carrying the recording medium from a paper feeding part to a paper discharge part; and a fixing means for heating a developer image on the recording medium, and fixing the developer image onto the recording medium. The fixing means includes: a heating roller; an inductive heating source for generating an inductive current in the heating roller; and an inductive heating power source for supplying a high frequency current to the inductive heating source. An input part in the commercial AC power source of the inductive heating power source is provided with an input interruption means, and an input voltage detecting means. A part for supplying power to the input interruption means includes a power supply interruption means operated by temperature. An input interruption abnormality detecting means is also arranged by which an abnormality is detected in the input interruption means.
