Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus in which a reading unit can read an image in a stable state, on the assumption that an image reading part is inclined.
In the image forming apparatus provided with an image reading part 2 which can be deviated to the upper part of an apparatus body 1, a horizontal position and a position inclined downward on the front side, an image reading unit 5 is scanned in a direction connecting an inclined base part and an inclined top part when the image reading part 2 is in the inclined position.
