The image forming apparatus which subjects exposed photosensitive materials to development processing by using a plurality of processing liquids includes; a plurality of tanks 22a to 22f in which the plurality of processing liquids are respectively filled; conveyance racks which are removably arranged within the tanks and convey the photosensitive materials within the tanks; and a processing liquid recovery means 46a which supports the conveyance racks wet with the processing liquids over the processing liquids within the tanks and returns the processing liquids from the conveyance racks into the tanks by allowing the processing liquids to drop from the conveyance racks into the tanks and guiding the processing liquids creeping on the surfaces of support portions from the conveyance racks into the tanks.
