This sublimation type printer 60 (the image forming apparatus) comprises an apparatus main body which is mounted with an ink sheet cartridge 50 storing the ink sheet 51 so as to be removable, and contains a printing head 2 for printing an image on a paper 40, a feed roller 4 which is arranged between the printing head 2 and a winding bobbin 50c of the ink sheet cartridge 51, and conveys the paper 40 during printing, and a pressing roller 5 which rotates with rotation of the feed roller 4 under a condition that the feed roller 4 is pressed by a specified pressing force, and guides the ink sheet 50 moving from the printing head 2 to the winding bobbin 50c of the ink sheet cartridge 51 so as to guide it to the winding bobbin 50c.
