The image forming apparatus includes an image forming section that forms an image on paper, based on a job; a shifting means that shifts paper, with the image formed thereon, to one of a plurality of paper ejecting positions perpendicular to the direction of conveyance; a paper ejection tray on which paper is stacked after image formation; a storage section that stores set information regarding the paper ejecting position; and a control section that controls the shift means so that the paper with the image formed thereon is shifted, based on the set information. When the specific job is to be executed, the control section exerts control so that the paper ejecting position coincides with the paper ejecting position, used in the job, prior to or after the specific job.
