To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce the trace of a flat cable, even if the apparatus has a structure having a long distance between a control board and a light-sensitive drum support.
The image forming apparatus (color printer 1) comprises: a plurality of exposure members (LED arrays 40); the light-sensitive drum support (drawer 100) which supports a plurality of light-sensitive drums 61 and the plurality of exposure members between a pair of sidewalls 110; a belt (transfer belt 71) arranged at the lower part of the plurality of light sensitive drums 61; a pair of guide members 200 which linearly and movably support the light sensitive drum support; separation mechanisms (guide members 200 and a groove 15) which support the light sensitive drum support so as to be movable in the vertical direction via the guide members 200; and a body substrate 600 which is arranged at an apparatus body 10, and connected to the plurality of exposure members via the flat-plate shaped flat cable 400. Then, a part (part 422 to be held) of the flat cable 400 is held at the guide members 200.
