Abstract:

To provide technology for sufficiently detecting a state of use of an image forming apparatus.

An image forming apparatus 10 for printing images includes: a toner cartridge that accommodates toner; a toner remaining amount detection unit 12 that detects the remaining amount of the toner accommodated in the toner cartridge, and determines whether or not the remaining amount of the toner is smaller than the predetermined amount; a display unit 162 that displays a screen; and a monitoring unit 173 that, when the toner remaining amount detection unit 12 has determined that the remaining amount of the toner is smaller than the predetermined amount, monitors the state of use of the image forming apparatus 10, and causes the display unit 162 to display a screen including the state of use.
