Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that uses an electrophotographic toner used in an image forming method including electrophotography, has excellent stress resistance in a developing device, has excellent low-temperature fixability, and can stably forms high-quality images.SOLUTION: Fixing means such as a fixing unit includes a fixing rotating body such as a fixing belt, and a pressure rotating body such as a pressure roller brought into contact with the fixing rotating body to form a nip part, and the surface pressure of the nip part is 1.5 kgf/cm, and the Martens hardness of the fixing rotating body is 1.0 N/mm. A toner in a developer has a core layer including at least a crystalline resin and a shell layer including an amorphous resin covering the core layer, where the Martens hardness of the amorphous resin in the shell layer is 120 N/mmor more and 180 N/mmor less.
