Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable realizing a high-quality image by controlling an image-forming condition in accordance with the state of a sheet accommodated in the apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus, including image-forming means for forming an image on a recording material, and detachably attached accommodation means for accommodating the recording material, further includes: attachment-detachment detection means for detecting whether the accommodation means is attached to the apparatus; sheet-count detection means for detecting the number of sheets of recording materials accommodated in the accommodation means; a first timer; and control means for controlling the first timer. Further, in a case where the attachment-detachment detection means detects a first state in which the accommodation means accommodating recording material is not attached to the apparatus and then a second state in which the accommodation means is re-attached thereto, with the number of sheets detected by the sheet-count detection means being different between before the first state and after the second state, the control means starts the first timer and controls an image-forming condition of the image-forming means on the basis of time measured with the first timer.
