Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to discharge water vapor from a space between an image forming section and a document reading section with high efficiency without enlarging the apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section having a fixing section for heating a sheet to fix a toner image and an outlet for discharging the sheet passing through the fixing section; and a document reading section which is arranged above the image forming section to read image information of a document. A sheet stacking surface where the sheet passing through the fixing section is discharged, is arranged forward of the outlet on a top face of the body of the image forming apparatus. A duct space is formed between the top face of the image forming section and a lower surface of the document reading section, in the rear of the outlet. A part of the lower surface of the document reading section, which forms the duct space, is located higher in the rear of the apparatus than in the front of the apparatus.
