Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably and stably close an opening/closing door of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section; an opening/closing door 90 for turning with respect to a device body having the image forming section; a guide unit body 40 which forms a conveyance path of a recording material P and movably supported by the opening/closing door 90; a holding section (a holding projection 41, and a unit holding member 92) for holding the guide unit body 40 so as to open the conveyance path when the opening/closing door 90 is opened; a releasing section (a releasing projection 42, a releasing protrusion 152) for releasing the guide unit body 40 held by the holding section along with the operation for closing the opening/closing door 90; and a lock section (a transfer lock arm 110, a registration lock arm 120) for locking the guide unit body 40 when the opening/closing door 90 is closed. The releasing section releases the held guide unit body 40 before the start of locking of the locking section in process of the operation for closing the opening/closing door 90.
