Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to check the state of a recording sheet in an add-on-side paper feed cassette from the device body side and easily remove a recording sheet stuck inside an add-on paper feed device, when an add-on paper feed device with add-on-side paper feed cassettes is installed below a bottom surface part of the device body with body-side paper feed cassettes.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 1 which has an add-on paper feed device 20 with add-on-side paper feed cassettes 21a, 21b, installed below a bottom surface part 10a of the device body 10 having a bottom plate with body-side paper feed cassettes 11a, 11b, an opening 30 for checking from a device body side the state of a recording sheet S contained in the add-on-side paper feed cassette 21a mounted in the add-on paper feed device in a state of the body-side paper feed cassettes 11b above the bottom surface part of the device body being removed, is installed such that the bottom surface part of the device body communicates with an upper surface part 20a of the add-on paper feed device below the bottom surface part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
