Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has a second cover independently opened/closed, and allows a user to recognize the presence of the second cover.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: an image forming part 7; a housing 2; a first cover 11; a second cover 12; and an interlocking mechanism 13. The image forming part 7 forms an image on a sheet. The housing 2 accommodates the image forming part 7. The first cover 11 is rotatably coupled to the housing 2. The second cover 12 is rotatably coupled to the housing 2. The interlocking mechanism 13 can interlock one of the first cover 11 and second cover 12 to the other. When the first cover 11 rotates in a first opening direction while the rotation angle of the first cover 11 is within an interlocking angle range, the interlocking mechanism 13 interlocks the second cover 12 to the first cover 11 to open the second cover 12. While the rotation angle of the first cover 11 is out of the interlocking angle range, the interlocking mechanism 13 does not interlock the first cover 11 to the second cover 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
