Abstract:
To improve convenience for a user who receives notification of notification information on the amount of toner remaining in a container.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an operation panel; a container that stores toner; a printing unit that executes a print job; and a control unit that performs notification processing of displaying, on the operation panel, notification information on the amount of toner remaining in the container. When performing the notification processing, the control unit determines whether a target user currently using the image forming apparatus is a low-use frequency user with a low use frequency of the image forming apparatus or a high-use frequency user with a use frequency higher than that of the low-use frequency user, and changes the details of the notification information on the basis of whether the target user is the low-use frequency user or the high-use frequency user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
