Abstract:
To detect, with a simple configuration, a defective state of a stop position of a cleaning member in a device that cleans a window of an optical scanning unit and then execute processing according to the cause of the defective state.SOLUTION: A moving mechanism reciprocatably supports a cleaning member along a main direction to be slid on a window of an optical scanning unit. A motor 53 drives the moving mechanism. A motor driving device 54 applies a driving voltage to the motor 53 according to a rotation direction command and an operation command from a drive control device 55. A current detection circuit 56 detects a drive current supplied to the motor 53. An abnormal operation detection unit 8e individually detects an abnormal operation of the motor driving device 54 and an abnormal operation of the drive control device 55 with the presence or absence of the output of the operation command and a detected value of the drive current when the operation command is not output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
