Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus capable of correcting a printing position with high accuracy by improving the detection accuracy of a position of an image for measurement.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 101 forms an image for measurement for measuring a printing position on a sheet. An image reading apparatus 102 reads the image for measurement while conveying the sheet. The image forming apparatus 101 detects a posture state and a shape of the sheet at the time of reading based on a reading result of the image for measurement. The image forming apparatus 101 detects the posture state and the shape of the sheet at the time of reading. The image forming apparatus 101 detects the printing position of the image for measurement with the detected posture state and shape included in a parameter, and generates a correction value for correcting the printing position of the image on the sheet based on the detected printing position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
